In the VW Group 7-speed dry double clutch 0AM and 0CW, the clutches are sealed by control levers operated by hydraulic pistons. The pistons and their dust protection are subject to wear, therefore they should be checked at all times while working on the double clutch. If the dust protection shows cracks or if hydraulic fluid leaks, the parts should be replaced.
